From the City of Delaware
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the City of Delaware are inviting residents, businesses and other interested members of the public to provide feedback on proposed improvements to the US 23 corridor in Delaware.
The public comment period is now open for the US 23 Corridor Improvements feasibility study, which examines two sections of the highway: Segment 6, from Pennsylvania Avenue to Hills-Miller Road, and Segment 7, from Main Road to State Route 229.

The study includes potential improvements at several locations within the City of Delaware, including the Pennsylvania Avenue/North Sandusky Street interchange, Merrick Boulevard and Hills-Miller Road.
Project materials, including exhibits outlining potential improvement alternatives, were recently presented at a public meeting and are available for review on the project webpage. Community members are encouraged to explore the proposed alternatives and share their thoughts, concerns and suggestions with ODOT as the study moves forward.
Public feedback will be accepted through Nov. 28, 2026.

Community input is an important part of the planning process and will help inform ODOT’s evaluation of potential improvements to this heavily traveled corridor.
