The Strand Theatre is creating a unique Business Partnership program, offering reciprocal benefits to elevate the profile of Delaware County businesses and nonprofits while supporting the 110-year-old cinema house.

The newly created Strand Business Partnership program (Lights, Camera, Action) allows local organizations to select a sponsorship level and, in turn, receive valuable benefits.

These benefits may include recognition on theatre screens and the new marquee, promotional ads on the 85-inch lobby monitor and kiosk, free movie tickets, private screenings, complementary concessions, and even private company meetings or events at The Strand, 28 E. Winter St.

Approximately 5,000 movie theatres have shuttered their doors since the 2020 pandemic, but The Strand remains as one of the 10 oldest continuously operating theatres in the United States that shows first-run movies. The Strand endures because of its careful stewardship and mix of creative and award-winning programs, combined with its box-office hit films. And The Strand endures because of the strong support it receives from the community, including for the Strand Business Partnership program.

One of the first Strand Partners is Willow Brook Christian Communities in Delaware. Cathy Courtice, Director of Community Relations at Willow Brook, says,

“We’ve enjoyed a wonderful relationship with The Strand over the years, and our residents and teammates enjoy the diverse programming and, of course, the first-run movies. We are pleased to be a Strand Partner, and we look forward to the many benefits that come with the Partnership.”

Theatre Managing Director Tracey Peyton shares,

“This new program is a win-win for both The Strand and the larger Delaware Community. We are still in the early stages of the program, and we already have nine commercial and nonprofit organizations that have joined as Strand Partners. The community’s reception and buy-in have been gratifying. The benefits accrue to the Theatre and to our Partners, and in the end, the entire community benefits.”

Organizations are invited to contact Peyton for more information about the new Partnership Program:
