Back in January we ran a story about the ongoing development of one of the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium’s newest residents, the first koala born there in over 15 years.

At that time, an arm or a leg of the joey (baby koala) we shared the following, “For now, guests may catch a glimpse of a tiny arm or leg every once in a while until around mid-March when the joey will outgrow Katy’s pouch.”

This as-yet-unnamed joey didn’t want to wait, however, and has already been seen out of the pouch and heading out to eat eucalyptus leaves, as this recently-posted Columbus Zoo video reveals:
