This year, we’re going to add a handful of Fall Road Trip ideas to our usual staple of Summer Road Trips. Each provides Delaware Countians with an easy day trip idea that features something unique and different.

As always, we remind our readers that Delaware County itself if full of interesting things to see and do. For the latest information on those places, visit the website of Destination Delaware County.

It’s an easy drive east along US30 to the nearby city of Wooster, home to that annual combination of fun, food, and festivity known as Woosterfest.

This year’s 39th Annual edition is a free family event will serve as a kick-off to fall, and will take place on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1.

Included is live entertainment; food concessions with 13 different food options; a “Kinderplatz” with pumpkins, crafts, and inflatables; a “Biergaretn” for liquid refreshment; arts and crafts vendors; a beer stein and other races; cornhole; and much more.

Don’t miss the “Sausage Toss,” where pieces of meat go flying through the air.

  • 3 PM Main Stage Entertainment – Dan Pyne
