Lehner’s Pumpkin Farm is among 57 destinations on the 2026 Ohio Corn Maze Trail, giving Delaware County residents a local starting point for a fall outing that could stay close to home or grow into a weekend road trip. Ten Acres of Twists and Turns
At Lehner’s, the challenge begins with a 10-acre corn maze. But finding the way out leaves plenty more to do. The farm’s attractions include a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, hayrides, a petting zoo, two indoor play barns, jump pillows, slides and a play village. A Fall Tradition That Started With a Wagon
Behind the attractions is a family business with a modest beginning. According to the farm’s history, Shawn Lehner was 13 when he put pumpkins grown for a 4-H project beside the road to sell. With help from his parents, Steve and Shelly Lehner, he sold the entire wagon load.
That first sale grew into a pumpkin operation involving the whole family. The Lehners also raise corn, wheat and soybeans, connecting the seasonal attraction to the everyday work of agriculture. The family continued operating the farm after Shawn’s death in 2021. Its account of the business describes relatives organizing activities, running food stations, managing school tours and stocking the gift shop, with grandchildren helping test new attractions. The statewide trail offers room for different kinds of outings, from family farm visits with cider and doughnuts to vineyard stops that can become part of a wine-country weekend.
“It’s a choose-your-own-fall-adventure, and we love seeing travelers make it their own,” state tourism director Sarah Wickham said in the trail announcement.
The invitation also has a practical benefit for the communities welcoming those visitors.
“When you visit a corn maze, vineyard, or orchard this time of year, you are supporting Ohio farmers and rural communities,” Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Brian Baldridge said.
For Delaware County readers, the first decision need not be complicated: head toward Radnor, leave time for the pumpkin patch and see where the corn maze takes you.
