This weekend, experience an ‘Ohio Frontier Encampment’ courtesy of the Powell-Liberty Historical Society.

For the second year in a row, R.J. Basista, professional reenactor, will set up an encampment on the Martin Perry House yard. R.J. will be on the grounds on Friday evening for campfire activities, and on Saturday for a whole day of exploring our past from the Revolutionary War, into the Ohio frontier and beyond.

Included will be something for all ages – information, demonstrations, and hand on activities. Stop by on Friday evening for sharing around a campfire and anytime on Saturday to join in the fun.

The hours on Friday are 7 PM to 9 PM; on Saturday, the even runs from 10 AM to 7 PM.

The Martin-Perry House is located at 103 E. Olentangy Street in Powell. Parking is available in a small lot west of the house and across the street in the large lot at the northeast corner of Olentangy St. and Grace Dr. Do NOT park in the lot behind the businesses immediately west of the Martin Perry House (toward downtown).
