The effort to erect a statue of President Rutherford B. Hayes in downtown Delaware, just a half-block from the site of his birthplace, continues with a new “twist.”

Restoration Brew Worx will be tapping their latest version of “Rutherford B. Hazy” on Thursday June 20 (5:00-8:00 PM) in support of the Rutherford B. Hayes Comes Home Project.

Come raise a pint with members of the project committee and RBW staff. A portion of the sales of this beer will be donated to the R.B. Hayes Heritage Fund.

A table will be set up to spotlight the project to erect a statue to properly recognize the 19th president of the U.S. and native son, Rutherford B. Hayes. Brochures will be available and committee members will be on hand to answer questions regarding this project. A 24” bronze model of the statue will be on display.

More about the Hayes project, which aims to raise some $125,000 by October 4 of this year, can be found here.
