Soon this month, you can embark on a 60-mile journey to attend an amazing celebration of books and authors happening at the heart of Columbus π.
This summer, the Columbus Book Festival is ready to shake up the city’s literary scene. It’s part of the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s 150th-anniversary festivities. The two-day event on July 15-16 will turn downtown’s historic Main Library and the charming Topiary Park into a buzzing hub for book lovers π.
Hosted by the Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation and presented by Battelle, the festival, across two days, will showcase more than 200 national and local authors, several exhibitors, and a lineup of entertainment that will leave you wanting more π.

Within the Main Library, over 135 celebrated authors will share the stage, offering glimpses into their latest pieces of work. These dynamic panel discussions, conducted across the library’s seven meeting rooms, span various genres, assuring something for every reader π₯.

The festival also presents a wonderful chance to support local authors and businesses. You can browse and shop the featured authors’ latest books at the Official Festival Bookstore and find exciting deals on used books at the Big Book Sale tent ποΈ.

For the outdoor enthusiasts, Kaufman Plaza and Topiary Park offer an array of entertainment, food vendors, and book sales. You can interact with over 70 independent authors at Indie Author Alley, and visit the big tent to discover 90+ indie authors from small presses and self-published works πΏ.

The Columbus Book Festival provides ample parking options. Multiple surface lots in the Discovery District will be available for festival parking throughout the weekend. For those choosing public transport, COTA bus services and CoGo Bike Share bicycles are easily accessible across downtown π.
