1808Delaware has expanded our coverage to highlight attractions and events within easy driving distance of Delaware Countians in a series called “In Our Backyard.” This is in addition to our regular coverage of Delaware County happenings and places.

You have have had the opportunity to visit the VanGogh exhibit at Polaris, which guests to have immersive interaction with several of the artist’s works.

A somewhat similar experience is taking place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center through January 22. There, the opportunity is yours to have an up close and personal view of several of the Sistine Chapel frescoes of Michaelangelo.

In “Michelangelo – A Different View,” visitors here have the opportunity to take in these imposing paintings at their leisure and to allow them to truly soak in. The originals are 72 feet above the floor; here, they are available for close inspection.

Far away from the enormous streams of visitors to the Sistine Chapel, visitors here have the opportunity to take in these imposing paintings at their leisure and to allow them to truly soak in.

Under the license of the Vatican Museums this exhibit offers the most complete and authentic reproduction of 45 of Michelangelo’s magnificent ceiling frescoes in combination with the Quattrocento frescoes of the Sistine Chapel to be shown outside the Vatican.

All tickets must be purchased in advance – No sales at the door. You can do so here.
