A Special Meeting of the Liberty Township Planning Commission will take place on Wednesday, July 24 to consider amendments to the Township’s Zoning Resolution.

After review by the Commission, the proposed amendments will be set to the Liberty Township Board of Trustees for their review and decision.

Those proposed amendments include, among many others:

  • Providing more clarity to the term “corner lot”
  • Setting beginning and end times for construction activity each day
  • Fixing setbacks for parking lots and street trees
  • Fine-tuning driveway lengths and location
  • Changing the section dealing with swimming pools and spas
  • Updating rules concerning fences and entry features to residences
  • Updating building size requirements
  • Fixing rules on location of medical marijuana processors or dispensaries

The meeting will take place at 7:30 PM at the Liberty Township Community Buidling/Fire Station, located at 7761 Liberty Road in Powell.

Also on the agenda will be consideration of a submission by Crown Ridge Investment LLC on behalf of Rockford Homes for a two-year development plan extension.
