Liberty Township is currently accepting entries in its annual Photo Contest, a popular community event that draws participants of all ages. This year, the contest is themed “Views of Our Community.”

The event seeks to compile a unique collection of photographs that encapsulate the spirit and beauty of Liberty Township. Participants are encouraged to submit images capturing their favorite place, scene, activity, or event within the township’s bounds. While entrants are not required to be residents of Liberty Township, all submitted photographs must be taken within the area.

The contest boasts three age categories: 12 and under, 13 to 18 years old, and 19 years and older. Entries will be accepted through midnight on July 31.

In a bid to engage the community further, the “People’s Choice” winners will be determined through a blend of online and offline voting. Township residents and fans can vote for their favorite photos on the Township’s official Facebook page or in-person at the Township Administrative Building. The voting period will commence on August 1 and conclude at midnight on August 19.

The title of “Photo of the Year,” however, will be awarded based on the judgement of Township officials, underlining the crucial role of expert evaluation in the contest.

The winning entries from this highly anticipated event will enjoy the spotlight at the Township Administrative Building, where they will be exhibited prominently. Further amplifying their reach, the winning photos will also be featured on the Township’s official website and social media accounts.

By showcasing the breathtaking views of Liberty Township through the eyes of its community members, the 2023 Photo Contest promises to provide a snapshot into the community’s favorite spots, activities, and events. The contest stands as an opportunity for participants to demonstrate their creative talents and appreciation for their township, while also participating in a celebration of community spirit.

Forms to submit an entry can be found here.
