As golf courses struggle, developers loom
Turning golf courses into residential communities has become a challenge, especially in Delaware County, where proposals to sell prominent courses to development have been met with challenge. For example, neighborhood outcry against development of the Blackhawk course in the village of Galena turned away what would have been a sprawling residential community.
