Updated – Here’s a chance to bring your family to downtown Delaware and to celebrate the city’s men and women in blue.

It’s the August First Friday event, as always sponsored by Main Street Delaware with help from Community Partners COhatch, Performance Chrsyler Jeep Dodge Ram, and Office Depot/Office Max.

This month’s First Friday has the theme of “Cops and Shops.” At this free, family-friendly event, there will be kids adcitivies, police cars for little ones to explore, live music, food while suppolies last, and as always, great shopping and eating along the streets of downtown.

The event on August 2 takes place from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

As with other First Fridays, a shuttle will be available from the Hayes Building on North Sandusky Street, and the bike corral will be up and running at the corner of Sandusky and Central Avenue. For questions, please email director@mainstreetdelaware.com or call 740-362-6050.
