It’s not every day that a New York Time bestselling author, journalist, essayist, and actress comes to Delaware for an evening of remarks and answers to submitted questions.
That is what’s in store at 7 PM on Friday, May 20, as Sarah Vowell speaks at Chappelear Drama Center.
A contributing editor for public radio’s This American Life, Vowell has written for Time, Esquire, GQ, Spin, Salon, McSweeneys, The Village Voice, and the Los Angeles Times, as well as authoring seven New York Times’ bestselling nonfiction books on American history and culture. She is also the voice of teen superhero Violet Parr in Brad Bird’s Academy Award-winning The Incredibles, and its sequel, Incredibles 2, from Pixar Animation Studios.
Vowell’s books include Radio On, Unfamiliar Fishes, The Wordy Shipmates, Take the Cannoli, The Partly Cloudy Patriot, Lafayette in the Somewhat United States, and Assassination Vacation.
The evening with Vowell will be moderated by Delaware County District Library Director George Needham.
Questions will be accepted in advance and the night of the presentation. Please submit them to [email protected] with the subject “Sarah Vowell.” Tickets may be purchased online at this location.
