Fortunately, most commemorations of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day take place inside in this part of the country, as some of the coldest weather of the season has settled over central Ohio.
This is the Buckeye State, however, which means that it won’t be lasting for long.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, this is the forecast for Sunday evening, Monday, and Tuesday in the Delaware area:
- Sunday evening – Chance of flurries before midnight. Overnight, mostly cloudy with a low around 15. Wind child values will be as low as zero degrees. Expect northwest winds from 8 to 15 mph.
- Monday — Partly sunny with a high near 24. Light northerly winds.
- Monday night — Mostly clear and cold, with a low around 13. As the evening progresses, expect calm winds.
- Tuesday — Sunny with a high near 30.
- Tuesday night — Mostly clear with a low around 19.
Temperatures creep up all week, reaching a high of 47 degrees on Friday.
