SourcePoint invites Delaware County businesses and organizations to support Meals on Wheels with the purchase of boxed lunches. The sixth annual Boxed Lunch Fundraiser provides a lunch for $11, with more than half the proceeds going directly to SourcePoint’s Meals on Wheels program.

Each year, SourcePoint serves about 250,000 meals to Delaware County seniors, and donations to the program help support the growing older population.

The fundraiser is part of the organization’s March for Meals campaign, which promotes the importance of senior nutrition and seeks support to ensure seniors continue to benefit from home-delivered meals and safety checks.

“When you contribute to SourcePoint’s Meals on Wheels program, you’re investing in a better life for the seniors in our community,” said Fara Waugh, SourcePoint’s executive director. “You become a partner not only in providing nutritious meals, but also in empowering local seniors to maintain independence and quality of life.”

The boxed lunches, provided by Jason’s Deli, include a choice of a turkey croissant or vegetarian wrap, as well as potato chips, pickle, and chocolate chip cookie. Delaware County businesses that order a minimum of three lunches can have lunches delivered to their offices Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9.

To order lunches, go to MySourcePoint.org/lunch or visit SourcePoint at 800 Cheshire Road, Delaware by Saturday, March 28.

OhioHealth and Trucco Construction present the 2020 fundraiser, with additional support from Inno-Pak, Performance Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Delaware, and IMPACT60. Volunteers from the Delaware County Board of Realtors, SourcePoint’s Meals on Wheels program, and other local organizations provide lunch delivery in April.
