July’s First Friday event, sponsored by Main Street Delaware, will have a patriotic flair.

Chalk It Up For Freedom!” is the theme for the July 2 event as the sidewalks of downtown are turned into artwork. At this free family happening, you can join in the fun! This month’s First Friday will take place from 6 PM to 9 PM.

Meanwhile, the Farmers Market continues in full force.

Beginning on May 22, the Market returned to operation in its former home — the streets of downtown Delaware.

As always, the Main Street Farmers’ Market offers an enticing array of seasonal fresh produce, baked goods, live and cut flowers and plants, honey, and craft items including homemade soap and pottery. Crafted items, meat, and eggs have been included as well!

The event will run from 9 AM to 12 Noon on Saturdays, and will also take place on Wednesday afternoons from 3 PM to 6 PM – both through October 30.

Up to date information on what’s on offer can be found on the Market’s own Facebook Page.
