NOTE: Updated with more information.

During the April First Friday in downtown Delaware, some civic pride will be on display.

In fact, that’s the theme of the first road closure First Friday of 2019 downtown. On April 5 from 6 PM to 9 PM, walk the street, shop the shops, eat the food, see the sights, and celebrate what it takes to keep Delaware looking good.

The evening will feature community partners that focus on sustainable efforts including Sustainable Delaware, the Delaware County Health District, Preservation Parks, the Delaware Soil & Water Conservation District, and Kroger.

View eco-friendly demonstrations, enjoy a downtown scavenger hunt, meet live Ohio native turtles, and even stop by the Health District booth for a chance to win your very own rain collection barrel provided by the City of Delaware Public Works Department.

For the April First Friday, you can ride the new First Friday Shuttle, brought to you by Delaware DataBus and Honda of Marysville. Park your car at the Hayes Building on North Sandusky Street and get a free ride to downtown. The shuttle rotation is every 15 minutes.

First Fridays are presented by Main Street Delaware.
