A February afternoon in Central Ohio can go either way. Cold, gray, and long. Or loud, colorful, and packed with kids bouncing off the walls. On Saturday, February 21, the Columbus Winter Carnival is clearly aiming for the second option.

Hosted by KidsLinked.com and Sylvan Learning, the event takes over Polaris Fashion Place from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, turning the mall into a full-on winter play zone.

What to Expect Inside the Carnival

This is not a quick walk-through kind of event. It’s designed for families to settle in, move around, and let kids burn real energy.

The activity lineup includes a bounce park, bubble house, giant carnival games, mini golf, and laser tag. There are also free activities and giveaways mixed throughout the space, which helps keep the day from turning into a constant add-on pitch.

If your household runs on animated television logic, this part will land. Kids will have the chance to take photos with Gabby, Bluey, Bingo, Paw Patrol characters, Minions, Stitch, and Sonic. These are the characters kids recognize instantly, not ones parents have to explain in the car on the way home.

Timing, Location, and the Practical Stuff

The indoor setting matters. February weather is unpredictable, and an all-indoor event removes the usual winter gamble. Polaris Fashion Place also gives families flexibility. Food options, restrooms, and space to regroup are built in.

The event runs Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 1500 Polaris Parkway in Columbus.

Registration, Discounts, and the Referral Angle

Free registration is available, with optional add-ons for expanded activities. Tickets and registration are handled through Eventbrite at
https://2026CBUSWinterCarnival.eventbrite.com

There’s also a limited-time discount. Using the code SuperSaleCbusWinterCarnival2026 gives 20 percent off all ticket types from December 16 at 8:00 AM through December 30 at 11:59 PM.

New This Year: Referral Competition With Real Prizes

The new referral bonus is worth paying attention to. The top five referrers will each receive two ticket vouchers to one major experience of their choice. Options include Disney on Ice, Monster Jam, Ringling Brothers, or Snow Trails Ski Passes, plus 20 activity tickets good for the carnival itself. Winners are announced at check-in, which adds a bit of live-event energy instead of a quiet follow-up email weeks later.

A Smart Winter Play for Families

Here’s the honest read. This works best for families with elementary-age kids who want a big, contained experience without committing to a full day or a long drive. The indoor format, recognizable characters, and mix of free and paid activities make it flexible rather than all-or-nothing.

If you’re looking for something to break up winter that doesn’t involve another screen or another gym birthday party, this one earns a look.
