Ohioans can start planning visits to all of their favorite fairs across the state. This past week, the Ohio Department of Agriculture released the official dates for the 2023 fair season, which includes Ohio’s 94 county and independent fairs and the Ohio State Fair.
The Paulding County Fair will kick off the 2023 fair season on June 12, and the season will wrap up on October 14 with the Fairfield County Fair.
Here are dates for the Delaware County Fair and county fairs in all of its contiguous counties:
Delaware: September 16-23 – delawarecountyfair.com
Knox: July 22-29 – knoxcountyfair.org
Franklin: July 17-23 – fcfair.org
Marion: July 3-8 – marioncountyfairgrounds.com
Morrow: August 28 – September 4 – morrowcountyfair.org
Union: July 23-29 – ohiounioncountyfair.com
The Harford Independent Fair in Licking County will take place from August 6-12.
The Ohio State Fair will take place from July 26 through August 6. Camp Washington (two miles east of downtown Cincinnati) was the site of the first Ohio State Fair, Oct. 2 – 4, 1850. The last time that the Fair was held outside of Columbus was in 1872 and 1873 in Mansfield.
