In what is becoming a daily occurence, incidents of reported COVID-19 infections are rising daily in Ohio.

Each day at 2:00 PM, the Ohio Department of Health’s COVID-19/Coronavirus page is updated reflecting the current numbers of persons under investigation, negative tests, and confirmed cases. On Friday afternoon, the number of confirmations jumped to 13, up from 5 just the day before.

The new cases came from the Cleveland Clinic and from Butler County.

There is some indication that the virus is in north central Ohio. On Friday afternoon, the City of Galion Health Department announced that two residents now have the status of “Person Under Investigation” after having exhibited symptoms of respiratory illness and having a travel history. The two will remain isolated in their homes pending laboratory results.

1808Delaware continues to monitor updates from state and local sources, and will continue to post local event cancellations and other details on our COVID-19/Coronavirus Update page.
