Ohio doesn’t have ‘shelter-in-place’ yet, but what would it look like?
Gov. Mike DeWine still has his biggest anti-coronavirus tool stowed away in his public-health protection playbook: a “shelter-in-place” order. While states such as California, New York and Illinois have essentially locked down residents in their homes to check the spread of the virus, DeWine said he thinks Ohio’s stay-at-home recommendations are succeeding — for now.The big difference: “Stay-at-home” is a suggestion while “shelter-in-place” is an order.
