The Delaware County District Library (DCDL) is opening the door to a world of imagination, creativity, and color—literally.

Thanks to a new partnership with the Columbus Museum of Art (CMA), library cardholders can now check out more than just books. Through the Library’s new Culture Pass program, Delaware County residents can experience one of Ohio’s most celebrated museums—for free.

Culture Pass: Your Ticket to Creativity

Culture Passes offer free admission to the Columbus Museum of Art for up to eight people—perfect for families, friend groups, or anyone looking for a vibrant day out. With just a library card, adult patrons can:

  • Visit the CMA without paying admission
  • Enjoy free parking
  • Receive discounts at the Museum Store and Schokko Café
  • Access full museum member benefits for one visit

Culture Passes can be picked up at any DCDL branch or requested through Outreach Services. Each pass is valid for seven days from the date of checkout, and only one pass may be borrowed at a time.

As part of this exciting collaboration, CMA invites guests to join “Spring Art Breaks”—a seasonal celebration of creativity running all this week. Families and art lovers of all ages can drop by for a wide range of imaginative activities and hands-on fun.

These events are part of the museum’s “My CMA Studio” program, offering engaging experiences that turn a simple museum visit into a true artistic adventure.

Making Art More Accessible

The Culture Pass program is about more than free admission—it’s a commitment to making arts and culture accessible to all. By removing financial barriers, the Delaware Library and CMA are helping to ensure that art is not a luxury, but a shared community resource.

Before visiting, patrons are encouraged to check the CMA website for updated hours, special exhibitions, and any current health guidelines.

Let Your Imagination Take the Lead

Whether you’re looking for a spring break outing, a weekend escape, or just an afternoon of inspiration, the new Culture Pass is your invitation to explore the power of art—at no cost.

So, grab your library card, pick up your pass, and let your imagination lead the way.
