The first regular meeting of the year for Delaware City Council will see that body consider a handful of resolutions and one ordinance, the latter being the third reading on the annexation of 43.847 acres of land known as The Evans Farm Delaware LLC Annexation.

Also on Council’s agenda, a copy of which can be found below, is a presentation of the MORPC 2020-2050 Transportation Plan by Maria Schaper, MORPC Transportation Planning Manager.

A copy of the slides from the presentation is included in the agenda.

The Transportation Plan identifies regional transportation-related strategies and projects over an extended period. The plan is then presented to ODOT and USDOT every four years. The plan guides expenditures, as projects must be included to be eligible for federal funding.

Interestingly, the slides reveal that the most suggested project type in that period involves pedestrian and bicycle improvements.

The Plan is now open for comments, which must be submitted by April 3, 2020; this follows a public open house at MORPC on February 26.
