Three Delaware Countians were recently appointed to statewide positions by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.

Thomas Edwin Allenstein of Lewis Center has been reappointed to the State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, and Transportation Services for a term beginning April 18, 2022 and ending Nov. 12, 2024.

The State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, and Transportation Services consists of 21 members. Appointees represent Ohio’s fire and emergency medical services, private medical transportation services, mobile intensive care providers, air medical providers, trauma programs, hospitals, emergency physicians, EMS training programs and the Ohio Department of Public Safety.

Gregory Slone of Westerville has been appointed to the Power Siting Board for a term beginning April 19, 2022 and ending Jan. 10, 2026.

The Power Siting Board’s mission is to support sound energy policies that provide for the installation of energy capacity and transmission infrastructure for the benefit of the Ohio citizens, promoting the state’s economic interests, and protecting the environment and land use.

Richard Fred Hillis of Powell has been reappointed to the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board for a term beginning April 23, 2022 and ending April 22, 2025.

The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board is responsible for maintaining the historic character of Capitol Square while providing for the health, safety and convenience of those who work in and visit the complex.
