The City of Delaware has shared the update that the 2nd Chance Reset is being offered, hosted by the Judges and Magistrates of the Delaware Municipal court between April 29 and May 10.

The City has shared:

“Do you owe this Court fines and costs?  If you were convicted, you owed fines, costs, and maybe community control fees.  If you failed to pay on time, additional court costs and significant collection fees were likely added to your case.

During the 2nd Chance Reset, the Court will reset the fines and costs owed in a case to the total amount owed at sentencing, minus any payments already received. If you want to take advantage of this temporary reset, you must pay the total reduced amount during the 2nd Chance Reset.”

Applications to participate can be obtained here. Note that once submitted, the application should be received via email within 1-2 business days.

This program applies only to cases which have taken place in the Delaware Municipal Court.
