This Saturday, the roar of engines and the joy of discovery will take center stage at Olentangy Berlin High School as Delaware County EMS hosts what they proudly call Ohio’s biggest and best Touch-a-Truck event.

From 9AM to 1 PM on July 19, the school at 3140 Berlin Station Road in Delaware will transform into a playground of powerful machines, offering families a chance to get up close with nearly 100 vehicles. The lineup is expected to include fire trucks, helicopters (weather permitting), construction equipment, police cars, boats, buses, farm machinery, utility vehicles—and even a monster truck with tires over five feet tall.

Touch-a-Truck events are interactive, family-friendly gatherings where children and adults alike can explore, climb on, and learn about a wide variety of vehicles. Especially beloved by young children who are captivated by big machines, these events typically feature plenty of photo opportunities, hands-on activities, and additional perks like free kids’ driver’s licenses, crafts, inflatables, and the chance to meet the vehicle operators in person.

This year’s Delaware County Touch-a-Truck goes one step further by combining fun with lifesaving knowledge. Attendees can take part in hands-only CPR demonstrations and learn bleeding control techniques, making the day both entertaining and educational.

Best of all, the entire event is free—making it the perfect outing for families eager to create unforgettable summer memories.
