The Delaware, Franklin, Madison, and Union County Farm Bureaus are once again bringing the farming community together with the Farmers’ Breakfast Series. Held at the iconic Der Dutchman Restaurant in Plain City, the series offers a mix of expert-led presentations, networking opportunities, and a hearty breakfast. This free series is designed for farmers, agricultural professionals, and anyone interested in learning about key topics affecting the industry in 2025.

What to Expect

Each session includes:

  • Breakfast and registration starting at 8:15 AM
  • Expert presentations from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM
  • Free admission with pre-registration by the specified deadlines

The events take place at: Der Dutchman Restaurant, 445 S. Jefferson Ave., Plain City, OH 43064


January 24: Agricultural Law Outlook

Registration Deadline: January 20
Speakers:

  • Peggy Kirk Hall, J.D.: Director, Agricultural and Resource Law Program, OSU Extension. A leading expert on property rights, contracts, and regulatory compliance in agriculture.
  • Robert Moore, J.D.: Attorney, OSU Agricultural and Resource Law Program, specializing in estate planning and farm succession.

This session will address critical legal trends and regulations to watch in 2025, helping attendees stay ahead in an ever-changing legal landscape.


February 28: Carbon Intensity and Soil Health

March 28: CAUV and Workers’ Compensation

    • Speakers:
      • Andrea Weaver, Union County Auditor
      • Andrew Bishop, CAUV Administrator, Union County

    • This session qualifies as the annual safety seminar required for Ohio Farm Bureau Group Rating members.
