If your to-be-read pile is looking a little thin or you’re not sure what to pick up next, the Delaware County District Library (DCDL) has just the thing to rekindle your reading spark: Personalized Picks.

Available now through July 31, this popular service pairs readers with a custom list of books selected just for them by DCDL’s expert staff. After that, it disappears until Winter Reading Club 2025—so don’t wait!

How It Works

Just fill out the Personalized Picks form with a few details about your recent reads and what you’re craving next—whether that’s a thrilling page-turner, a heartfelt romance, or something completely out of your usual comfort zone.

Tell the librarians what you loved (and what you didn’t), whether you prefer fast-paced plots, atmospheric settings, or deeply character-driven stories. They’ll take it from there and send you a curated list of titles that match your mood and preferences—right to your inbox.

Who Can Use It

The form is geared toward teen and adult readers, but families are welcome to fill it out on behalf of children or tweens. That way, the librarians can better understand the young reader’s taste and offer just-right suggestions.

Pro Tips for a Better Booklist

  • Be specific in your answers
  • Use terms like “magical realism,” “gritty detective,” or “slow burn romance”
  • Say what kind of book you don’t want too
  • Only request one genre at a time for best results
  • You can fill it out more than once—come back when your reading mood changes

Don’t Miss Out

Whether you’re tackling your summer reading goals or just looking to discover a hidden gem, DCDL’s Personalized Picks is your ticket to your next great read. But act fast—it’s only available through July 31 at 8:00 PM!
