Andrew Doehrel Reappointed to Ohio Expositions Commission
Andrew E. Doehrel of Galena has been reappointed to the Ohio Expositions Commission for a term commencing December 19, 2024, and extending through December 1, 2030.
The Ohio Expositions Commission, established in 1961, oversees the Ohio Expo Center and the renowned Ohio State Fair. The 14-member body, including nine gubernatorial appointees, is tasked with managing state property designated for at least one annual fair, with a primary focus on the Ohio State Fair. The Commission’s leadership ensures the preservation and enhancement of this cherished Ohio tradition, fostering tourism and community engagement across the state.
Richard Hillis to Continue Service with Ohio History Connection
Richard F. Hillis of Powell has been reappointed to the Ohio History Connection Board of Trustees for a term beginning December 19, 2024, and concluding June 26, 2027.
The Ohio History Connection, founded in 1885, serves as Ohio’s chief historical preservation organization. Operating from its headquarters at the Ohio History Center in Columbus, it manages more than 50 historic sites and museums statewide. The organization’s mission encompasses the preservation and sharing of Ohio’s rich history, including its prehistoric past, ensuring future generations connect with their heritage. Hillis’s ongoing service supports these vital efforts.
Todd Poole Returns to State Fire Council
Todd L. Poole of Delaware has been reappointed to the State Fire Council for a term starting December 19, 2024, and ending November 1, 2029.
The State Fire Council acts as an advisory body, facilitating communication between the Ohio Division of Fire and various stakeholder groups.
