Delaware County kids have more than one option to cool off during hot summer weather. Splash parks are all the rage both statewide and locally.
One of the City of Powell‘s favorite spots for summer – the Splash Pad located in Village Green Park – opened earlier this week immediately following the Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony.
The Splash Pad is now open from 9 AM to 9 PM through Memorial Day, weather permitting.
While you’re there, visit the solar picnic pavilion, which provides picnic tables and shade while supplying energy to the Municipal Building. Before visiting the Splash Pad, check the City’s homepage of the website or Facebook page to see if the Splash Pad is open or closed.

Now in its fourth year, the Veterans Park Spray and Play area in Delaware sits near the Delaware Community Center YMCA as well as the Ohio National Guard’s Delaware Readiness Center. It is joined by a concession stand with ice cream, pretzels, and nachos and also a large playground area.
The address to plug into your GPS is 1121 South Houk Road.
