Special to 1808Delaware

College students are invited to discover an array of career opportunities within the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) by applying for a 2024 summer internship.

“Ohio is fortunate to have so many great, higher education institutions that are developing the new class of leaders,” ODNR Director Mary Mertz said. “Year after year we see that talent pool reflected in our incredibly successful internship program, where students grow and learn all about our department’s diverse career opportunities.”

ODNR expects to hire 60 interns covering a variety of fields including biology, communications, engineering, forestry, geology, law enforcement, recreation, water quality, wildlife, and more.

The interns selected for this program will join our team of passionate employees. Selected applicants will put their knowledge into action with real world scenarios in the field and office. Interns will also have the opportunity to further develop sought-after skills through specialized professional development trainings.

Eligible applicants must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at an accredited college, university, or community college which offers or leads to an associate, bachelor, or graduate degree, and be in good academic standing.
