A corner of Delaware County is going to be a bit more colorful this summer.
Many central Ohioans caught the “Immersive Van Gogh” exhibit which has run for over six months at Lighthouse ArtSpace Columbus.
The next edition of immersive experiences is opening this weekend in the same space, located at 940 Polaris Parkway.
Immersive Monet & The Impressionists is a tantalizing exploration of vibrant colors on a jaw-dropping scale. The Impressionists were radicals that shook up the art world in the 19th century. Striving to capture the ever-elusive effects of sunlight and movement in expressive brushstrokes, they captured both the transient nature of beauty, and the timeless beauty of nature.
The immersive experience brings over 450 paintings of Monet, Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Mary Cassatt and other artists to life on a grand scale at 500,000 cubic square feet of projections set to music.
Tickets, which can be purchased online here, range from $35 to $70 and, so far, can be reserved through September 25. Producers are hoping to extend the run beyond that date.
