Delaware County: Ongoing Road Projects

State Route 257 Bridge Rehabilitation

NEW IMPACTS

  • SR 257, between SR 750 and Sunset Dr., will see various lane restrictions starting Monday, October 21, lasting through Tuesday, November 12. Motorists should prepare for minor delays due to lane closures.
U.S. Route 36/State Route 37 Improvements at “The Point”

CONTINUING IMPACTS

  • Traffic Pattern Changes: U.S. 36/SR 37 (Williams St./Central Ave.) switched traffic to the south side of the road in mid-September. One lane of traffic in each direction remains open between the railroad bridge and SR 521, and this will continue through Spring 2025.
  • Bowtown Rd. Closure: Bowtown Rd. remains closed at U.S. 36/SR 37 during this phase. Access to Bowtown Rd. from SR 521 is maintained for residents and businesses.

Franklin County: Major Road Projects Affecting Commuters

State Route 161 Widening Project

NEW IMPACTS

  • Little Turtle Way Ramp to I-270 Closure: The ramp will close overnight from 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM on Sunday, October 20. Detour via Little Turtle Way, E. Dublin Granville Rd., Hamilton Rd., and SR 161 westbound.
  • SR 161 Ramp Closures:
    • Westbound to Hamilton Rd. will close overnight on Monday, October 21. Detour via Sunbury Rd.
    • Hamilton Rd. to SR 161 westbound will close Monday, October 21.
  • Easton Ramp Lane to I-270: Lane closure overnight on October 21 and 22.
  • Sunbury Rd. Ramp to I-270 Northbound: Overnight closures starting Tuesday, October 22 through Thursday, October 24.
  • I-270 Ramp Closures:
    • I-270 northbound between Morse Rd. and SR 3 will have overnight lane restrictions starting Monday, October 21 through Thursday, October 24.
    • Westbound ramp to SR 3 closed overnight from October 22 – 24.
I-270 Resurfacing and Bridge Rehabilitations

NEW IMPACTS

  • I-70 to I-270 Ramp Closure: The ramp from I-70 eastbound to I-270 southbound will close from 7:00 PM on Friday, October 18 through 5:00 AM on Monday, October 21.
  • I-270 Southbound Lane Closures: Between Broad St. and Hamilton Rd., from October 18 – 21.
  • Far East Freeway Ramp Closures: The I-270 northbound ramp to I-70 eastbound will be closed from October 21 to 24 overnight.
Interstate 70

CONTINUING IMPACTS

  • McComb Road Bridge Rehabilitation: Closed since August 26 for a 90-day rehabilitation period.
  • Hamilton Road Bridge: Daily lane restrictions through winter 2024 as bridge rehabilitation continues. Ramp closures have affected Hamilton Rd.’s northbound connection to I-270.
  • I-70 Resurfacing: Lane restrictions between the Madison County line and Rome-Hilliard Rd. continue overnight through Fall 2024.
  • Courtright Road Bridge: Closure continues for bridge rehabilitation since July 8.
