ODOT District 6 has released its weekly report highlighting road construction projects which are beginning or underway in the multi-county area it serves. What follows are posted projects taking place within Delaware County and Franklin County.
Please stay safe and pay attention to these closures and work taking place during the week beginning on August 22.
DELAWARE COUNTY
State Route 315
CONTINUING IMPACTS
SR 315 between Bean-Oller Rd. and Hyatts Rd. will close starting Monday, August 16 through Friday, August 27 for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 315 to SR 750 to U.S. 23 to SR 315 or reverse.
U.S. Route 36
CONTINUING IMPACTS
U.S. 36 Intersection Safety Improvement – The intersection of U.S. 36 and SR 257 will have daily lane restrictions (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.) starting Monday, August 2 through October 2021 for traffic signal installation. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
State Route 13 northbound exit ramp closure – The State Route 13 northbound exit ramp to Cook Road is closed for installation of sidewalks and guardrails along Cook Road. The detour route for northbound motorists on SR 13, traveling to Cook Road, will be SR 13 to Straub Road, west on Straub Road to S. Main Street, then north on S. Main Street to Cook Road. Estimated completion: Wednesday, September 15, 2021
FRANKLIN COUNTY
U.S. Route 62
UPCOMING NEW IMPACTS
U.S. 62 northbound and southbound at I-71 will close starting 9 p.m., Sunday, August 29 through 6 a.m., Friday, September 3.
- Northbound detour: U.S. 62 to I-71 northbound to SR 665
- Southbound detour: Southbound traffic will be flagged on U.S. 62 under I-71 and be able to continue southbound.
State Route 315
NEW IMPACTS
Olentangy River Rd. between Highland Drive and Henderson Rd. will have daily lane restrictions (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) starting Monday, August 23 through Friday, August 27 for noise wall construction.
Interstate 71
NEW IMPACTS
- I-71 northbound and southbound between SR 161 and Morse Rd. will have nightly lane restrictions (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, August 22 through Friday, August 27 for concrete bridge repairs.
- The I-71 northbound ramp to Morse Rd. will close overnight (midnight – 5 a.m.) on Thursday, August 26.
- Detour: I-71 northbound to SR 161 to I-71 southbound to Morse Rd.
Interstate 270
NEW IMPACTS
- The E. Broad St. eastbound ramp to I-270 southbound will close (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) on Monday, August 23.
- Detour: Broad St. eastbound to I-270 northbound to Hamilton Rd. to I-270 southbound.
- The E. Broad St. westbound ramp to I-270 southbound will reduce to one lane (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) on Monday, August 23.
- I-270 southbound between E. Broad St. and E. Main St. will have daytime lane restrictions (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) on Monday, August 23.

- I-270 eastbound and westbound between Riverside Dr. and Smoky Row Rd. will have nightly lane restrictions (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, August 22 through Wednesday, August 25 for paving.
- The I-270 eastbound ramps to Sawmill Rd. will close overnight (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Sunday, August 22 and Monday, August 23.
- Detour: I-270 eastbound to SR 315 northbound to I-270 westbound to Sawmill Rd.
- The Sawmill Rd. northbound and southbound ramps to I-270 eastbound will close overnight (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Sunday, August 22 and Monday, August 23.
- Detour: Sawmill Rd. to I-270 westbound to Tuttle Crossing Blvd. to I-270 eastbound.
Interstate 670
NEW IMPACTS
- The I-670 westbound ramp to I-71 southbound will close nightly (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, August 22 through Thursday, August 26 for bridge deck work.
- Detour: I-71 northbound to 11th Ave. to I-71 southbound.
- The 5th Ave. ramp to I-670 will close nightly (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, August 22 through Tuesday, August 24.
- Detour: I-71 southbound to Main St. to I-71 northbound to I-670.
- The I-71 southbound ramp to I-670 westbound will close nightly (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, August 22 through Tuesday, August 24.
- Detour: I-71 southbound to I-670 eastbound to Leonard Ave. to I-670 westbound.
- The I-670 westbound ramp to 4th St./U.S. 23 northbound will close nightly (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, August 22 through Tuesday, August 24.
- Detour: I-670 westbound to Neil Ave. southbound to I-670 eastbound to 4tth St./U.S. 23 northbound.
- The 3rd St./U.S. 23 southbound ramp to I-670 eastbound will close overnight (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Wednesday, August 25 and Thursday, August 26.
- Detour: 3rd St. to E. Spring St. to Neil Ave. northbound to I-670 eastbound.
- The I-670 eastbound ramp to Cleveland Ave./SR 3 will close overnight (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Wednesday, August 25 and Thursday, August 26.
- Detour: I-670 eastbound to I-71 northbound to 11th Ave. to Cleveland Ave.
- The I-670 eastbound ramp to I-71 northbound/southbound will close overnight (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Wednesday, August 25 and Thursday, August 26.
