ODOT District 6 has released its weekly report highlighting road construction projects which are beginning or underway in the multi-county area it serves. What follows are posted projects taking place within Delaware County.

Please stay safe and pay attention to these closures and work taking place during the week beginning on May 23.

State Route 61

UPCOMING NEW IMPACTS
SR 61 and Wilson Rd./SR 656 Roundabout – The intersection of SR 61 and Wilson Rd./SR 656 will close starting Tuesday, June 1 through August 2021 for construction of a peanut roundabout.

  • Detour: SR 61 to I-71 southbound to US 36 eastbound to SR 36/3 eastbound to SR 61 or reverse.

U.S. Route 36

NEW IMPACTS
U.S. Route 36 Safety Upgrades – U.S. 36 eastbound and westbound at Condit Rd. will have daily lane restrictions (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.) starting Monday, May 24 through Wednesday, May 26 for traffic light installation.

U. S. Route 23

U.S. Route 23 North Side Sign Upgrades – Upgrade lane assignment signs to a larger size on U.S. 23 approaching I-270, install additional signs, modify striping on U.S. 23 south to allow a dedicated lane for each entrance ramp. Estimated completion: Summer 2021

CONTINUING IMPACTS
U.S. 23 southbound at I-270 will have daily lane restrictions (7 a.m. – 4 p.m.) starting Monday, March 1 through June 2021 for sign and lane assignment upgrades.
