The Village of Ostrander officially has a new Mayor.

Chris Greasamar was sworn in on Saturday to fill the position created after the resignation of Bob Taylor.

Taylor’s despature from the office was the subject of an 1808Delaware story on December 2. That post shared contents of an announcement Taylor had shared with the village. Taylor cited personal reasons as the basis for his action.

Greasamar had most recently served as President of Village Council. He will have to run for election later this year if he wishes to keep the mayoral job long-term.

Photos from Saturday’s swearing in event can be viewed below.
