It’s time to grab your cameras and capture the shots that will win the 2018 Preservation Parks photo contest, with a theme of “Preserving Our Heritage.”

This year, the “History” category has been retired and “Flight” has been added, which will give you an opportunity to show off your skill as you capture the movement of seed, birds, butterflies or other flying creatures or objects in the act of flying. Other categories are Park District Scenes, General Nature, Animals, and Youth (photos taken by those 17 years and younger).[widgets_on_pages id=1]

The contest is open to amateur photographers, and deadline for submissions is November 2.

Winners will receive ribbons, and winning photos will be on display in the Deer Haven Park Visitor Center during the month of December.
