The 2023 symposium returns with a packed agenda, building on the success of its last iteration in 2022. Attendees can look forward to an enlightening series of nine presentations covering a diverse range of topics. High on the agenda is the new H2Ohio Rivers program, alongside insightful discussions on watershed planning, the significance of cold water habitats, and an update on the strides made in Ohio’s Scenic Rivers Program. These sessions promise to offer a comprehensive view of river management and conservation efforts across the state.

Keynote Addresses and Expert Speakers

The symposium is set to be graced by notable figures in the field, with ODNR Director Mary Mertz opening the event. Craig Nelson from the ODNR Division of Geological Survey will also be a keynote speaker, offering his expertise on the aquifers of Ohio. The lineup of speakers extends to include representatives from The Ohio State University, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Geauga Park District, and the Miami Conservancy District, ensuring a rich diversity of perspectives and insights.

Set against the backdrop of the Villa Milano Conference Center at 1630 Schrock Road, Columbus, Ohio, the event spans from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The registration fee of $60 covers lunch, refreshments, and all conference materials.
