Only a few more weeks to go, friends, until the weather breaks, the sun shines, and the sounds of spring return to Delaware County.

Just in time, the Spring 2019 Program Guide from Preservation Parks has been published and is available to peruse. It can be found in many county locations, but also online.

The Guide presents programming from March through May at each location. It also provides a number of summer teasers and previews, including the summer theme, The World of Water. The opening weekend for that series takes place near the end of May at both Deer Haven Park and Shale Hollow Park.

Also mentioned are Summer Explorers Camps, as registration deadlines begin in May.

Many of the spring programs preview the water them, including opportunities to learn about wetlands, save some frogs, paddle on Alum Creek Reservoir, and hear about watersheds.

As always, Gallant Farm has its own unique set of opportunities to learn and experience. Sheep shearing, chicken raising, planting vegetables, and more are on tap.

First place winners of the 2018 Photo Contest are also featured.
