The Delaware Soil & Water Conservation District has two scholarships open to local students.

The Dick O’Keefe Memorial Scholarship is $500 and open to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Applicant must be a Delaware County resident, or have graduated or be graduating from one of the Delaware County public or private schools.
  • At the time of application, the applicant must have at least a 2.5 grade average on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicant must be entering his/her freshman year as a full-time student at a two or four year accredited college, technical school, or university.
  • Applicant must be pursuing a degree in agriculture or natural resources.

One scholarship will be awarded and the deadline for applications is Friday, April 12. An application form can be found here.

The Camp Canopy scholarship is $375 and open to high school students entering their freshman year through seniors graduating in 2019.  One student will be selected for a fully paid week at this residential camp which will be held June 9 – 14, 2019 at FFA Camp Muskingum in Carrollton, Ohio.  Visit www.campcanopy.com to learn about all of the great hands-on classes and recreational opportunities going on during camp week.  The deadline for applications is Friday, April 12.
