Preservation Parks of Delaware County has published its online program guide for the Winter of 2018-2019.

Noting that “Winter is a special season,” the guide details events happening in each of the parks during the months of December, January, and February.[widgets_on_pages id=1]

At Gallant Farm, events and activities include making sausage, a seed swap, maple syrup time, a series of interactive monthly displays, and other offerings. Topics for other park adventures include birds, rocks, butterfly gardening, crocheting, and even Native American flutes.

The Delaware County Bird Club will have meetings that include a Christmas bird count, a presentation on “Spring Migration in Texas,” and an interesting talk on “Feather Degrading Bacteria in the Tropics.”

Preservation Parks of Delaware County’s mission is “…to protect and conserve the natural and historic features of Delaware County and to inspire outdoor exploration and learning.”
