The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is pleased to announce the return of Zoofari, one of Central Ohio’s favorite signature fundraisers. This year’s Zoofari event has a twist…and a new date!

While last year’s event was canceled due to additional precautions taken regarding the global pandemic, this year, the Zoo is proud to bring back Zoofari, a favorite Central Ohio summertime tradition presented by Fifth Third Bank, on Saturday, August 28 from 7 PM to 12 AM.

Guests ages 21 years and older can expect the return of food selections from more than 60 restaurants and live entertainment, but on a smaller scale, as part of the Zoo’s continued efforts to keep guests safe. Safety protocols (including the location of our food and beverage stations) will be per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and in compliance with the Delaware County Health District.

This year’s event will be reduced to approximately 3,000 attendees (compared to the typical guest count of about 7,000). Even though the number of attendees will be significantly reduced, the event’s overall footprint remains the same as before to allow for social distancing.

Of course, most importantly, this adults-only signature fundraiser benefits the Columbus Zoo’s Conservation Education programs, providing everyone with the opportunity to have a tremendous impact on conservation initiatives in our own backyard, as well as around the world. The event also helps to show support to local restaurants and establishments participating in Zoofari and offering guests delicious samples of food and beverages.

“2020 was certainly a challenging year that also prevented us from being able to hold some of our favorite annual events. While canceling last year’s event was the right and safe thing to do, this year we’re proud to bring back Zoofari, a favorite Central Ohio summertime tradition,” said Nikhil Hunshikatti, the 2021 Zoofari Committee Chair.

General admission tickets cost $121 per person and include food sampling, three drink tickets, and live entertainment access. V.I.P. tickets are available for $300 per person (or $3,000 for 12 tickets) and will include early entry to Zoofari at 6:30 p.m., four drink tickets, and special access to V.I.P areas. Please note that valet parking is not available at the 2021 Zoofari event.

For everyone’s safety, IDs will be checked, so guests are required to present a state-issued ID, driver’s license, or military ID. Due to limited capacity, plan to purchase your tickets to this exclusive event today!
