Ohio Wesleyan University will host its sixth annual “A Cappellooza” voices-only showcase at 7PM on November 3 in Gray Chapel in University Hall, 61 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. Doors will open at 6:30 PM.

This year’s concert, “A Night on Broadway,” will feature classic show tunes and songs from musicals performed by a cappella groups from Ohio Wesleyan, Otterbein, and Wittenberg universities.

From Ohio Wesleyan, Pitch Black (women), The JAYwalkers (men), and the OWtsiders (co-ed) will perform. From Otterbein, Ottertuned (co-ed) will sing, and from Wittenberg, both Just Eve (women) and the Wittmen Crew (men) will take the stage.[widgets_on_pages id=1]

A Cappellooza also will feature a performance by Backtrack, a New York-based a cappella group that got its start on YouTube and now boasts more than 10 million views and 111,000 followers. Backtrack won Steve Harvey’s “Sing Off” in 2017 and YouTube’s “Next Up” competition in 2016. The five-member group seeks to explore “the power of the human voice through unique vocal arrangements, tight harmonies and world-class beatboxing.” Learn more at www.backtrackvocals.com.

Tickets to A Cappellooza are $5 general admission, but free for Ohio Wesleyan students and employees with valid university IDs. Tickets are available online at www.eventbrite.com/e/a-cappellooza-tickets-50973709738. The annual concert is organized by OWU’s student-run Campus Programming Board.
