Nearly 40 Ohio Wesleyan University students spent fall semester completing study-away experiences across the country and around the world.

Those studying off campus and their experiences included:

  • Callie Angelo of Monaca, Pennsylvania. Angelo studied in Geneva, Switzerland, through the School for International Training’s Global Health and Development Policy program.
  • Kiersten Bender of Springfield, Ohio. Bender studied in Cork, Ireland, at University College Cork through Arcadia University’s College of Global Studies program.
  • Dustin Braden of Granville, Ohio. Braden studied in Osaka, Japan, at Kansai Gaidai University.
  • Justine Clark of Westerville, Ohio. Clark studied in Townsville, Australia, at James Cook University through Arcadia University’s College of Global Studies program.
  • Ocheme Connell of Rosedale, New York. Connell studied in Osaka, Japan, at Kansai Gaidai University.
  • Colette Cosgrove of Waterbury, Connecticut. Cosgrove studied in England, at St. Mary’s University, located in South West London. The program is administered by Arcadia University’s College of Global Studies program.
  • Alex Flamenbaum of New Albany, Ohio. Flamenbaum studied in Townsville, Australia, at James Cook University through Arcadia University’s College of Global Studies program.
  • Juliana Freisen of Canal Fulton, Ohio. Freisen studied in Thailand through the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) program.
  • Sarah Gielink of Twinsburg, Ohio. Gielink studied in Madrid, Spain, through the Language & Area Studies program of Institute for the International Education of Students (IES) Abroad.
  • Jacob Goldsmith of Ridgefield, Connecticut. Goldsmith studied international business in Barcelona, Spain, through the Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA) program.
  • Alana Guzman of El Paso, Texas. Guzman completed an internship program in Edinburgh, Scotland, through Arcadia University’s College of Global Studies program. In Scotland, Guzman studied at the University of Edinburgh and completed an internship with the Scottish Parliament.
  • Kacie Howell of Columbus, Ohio. Howell studied in London, England, at Richmond, The American International University in London, through the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) program.
  • Paige Hunter of Westerville, Ohio. Hunter studied in Spain, including at the University of Salamanca, through Ohio Wesleyan’s Salamanca Program.
  • Jermaine Johnson of Chicago, Illinois. Johnson studied international business in Barcelona, Spain, through the Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA) program.
  • Ivy Kirst of Columbus, Ohio. Kirst studied in Spain, including at the University of Salamanca, through Ohio Wesleyan’s Salamanca Program.
  • Billy Lewis of Madison, New Jersey. Lewis studied in Cork, Ireland, at University College Cork through Arcadia University’s College of Global Studies program.
  • Shay Manuela of Vianen ut, Utrecht, Netherlands. Manuela worked and studied in New York City through Ohio Wesleyan’s New York Arts Program. She interned at “Saturday Night Live.”
  • Emma McCarty of Chesterland, Ohio. McCarty interned in Chicago, Illinois, with the Polished Pebbles Girl’s Mentoring Program through the Chicago Center for Urban Life and Culture.
  • Tiff Moore of Cleveland, Ohio. Moore worked and studied in New York City through Ohio Wesleyan’s New York Arts Program. Moore interned at Atlantic Pictures and Break Thru Films.
  • Armane Pita of San Francisco, California. Pita studied in Prague, Czech Republic, through the Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA) program.
  • Alex Pyritz of Lincolnshire, Illinois. Pyritz studied in Europe through the Women’s and Gender Studies in Europe program administered by Carleton Antioch Global Engagement. The program included time in the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Poland.
  • Thalia Sallas-Brookwell of Los Angeles, California. Sallas-Brookwell worked and studied in New York City through Ohio Wesleyan’s New York Arts Program. Sallas-Brookwell interned at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
  • Christina Semeraro of Wallingford, Pennsylvania. Semeraro studied in Spain, including at the University of Salamanca, through Ohio Wesleyan’s Salamanca Program.
  • Connor Severino of Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. Severino studied in Prague, Czech Republic, through the Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA) program.”
  • Dana Shapiro of Atlanta, Georgia. Shapiro studied in Scotland at the University of Glasgow through Arcadia University’s College of Global Studies program.
  • Kya Stanley of Macon, Georgia. Stanley studied in Paris, France, through the Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA) Liberal Arts and Social Sciences program.
  • Bela Starinchak of Alexandria, Virginia. Starinchak studied in Spain, including at the University of Salamanca, through Ohio Wesleyan’s Salamanca Program.
  • Becca Strider of Hillsboro, Ohio. Strider studied in Costa Rica and Mexico as part of the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) STEM & Society program.
  • Anna Swanson of Copperas Cove, Texas. Swanson studied in New Zealand at the University of Auckland through Arcadia University’s College of Global Studies program.
  • Chance Rodriguez Tarrant of Wallingford, Pennsylvania. Rodriguez Tarrant studied in Buenos Aires, Argentina, through the Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA) Liberal Arts and Social Sciences program.
  • Margaret Veach of Knoxville, Tennessee. Veach studied in Morocco as part of the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) program.
  • Annie Vitti of Downers Grove, Illinois. Vitti interned in Chicago at the North Park Village Nature Center through the Chicago Center for Urban Life and Culture.
  • Gretchen Weaver of Hudson, Ohio. Weaver studied in Spain, including at the University of Salamanca, through Ohio Wesleyan’s Salamanca Program.
  • Callie Wildenthaler of Galion, Ohio. Wildenthaler studied in Townsville, Australia, at James Cook University through Arcadia University’s College of Global Studies program.
  • Katy Wood of Powell, Ohio. Wood studied in Spain, including at the University of Salamanca, through Ohio Wesleyan’s Salamanca Program.
