One critical aspect of winter preparation involves mailbox maintenance. Orange Township officials encourage residents to inspect their mailboxes, tightening any loose screws and replacing missing components. Snow displaced by plows can inadvertently damage poorly maintained mailboxes, so ensuring their sturdiness is vital. The township clarified it is not liable for mailbox damage caused by snow removal equipment.
Roadway Obstructions and Vehicle Parking
To streamline the efforts of snow plows, residents are urged to limit on-street parking during snow events, especially on cul-de-sacs and streets with frequent vehicle congestion.
