Three decades after Tamagotchi first asked owners to feed, entertain, and clean up after a tiny digital pet, the familiar pocket-sized toy is coming to Delaware County for a birthday celebration.
The Tamagotchi USA Road Trip will stop at Polaris Fashion Place on August 29 and 30, bringing free games, activities, merchandise, and photo opportunities to local families and collectors. No tickets are required for the two-day event.
Bringing Back A Pocket-Sized Favorite
For longtime fans, the Polaris visit offers a chance to reconnect with a toy that became a defining part of childhood during the late 1990s. For younger visitors, it will be an introduction to a brand that has continued evolving through new devices, characters, and ways to play. Visitors will be able to participate in interactive games and activities, explore the latest Tamagotchi products, purchase exclusive merchandise, and take photos throughout the traveling experience. The event is designed for fans of all ages, from experienced collectors to families caring for their first virtual pet.
Back On The Road
This will be the second year for the Tamagotchi USA Road Trip, which is expanding to eight cities as part of the brand’s global 30th anniversary celebration.
“After seeing the incredible response from fans during our first Tamagotchi USA Road Trip, we knew we had to bring it back for an even bigger celebration,” said Tara Badie, senior director of brand strategy for Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America.
Badie said the anniversary tour provides an opportunity to visit new cities, meet more fans, and create shared memories around one of pop culture’s most recognizable toys.
The Polaris stop will offer Delaware County residents a rare chance to experience the national tour close to home, whether they are revisiting a childhood favorite or discovering the responsibilities of digital pet ownership for the first time.
The Tamagotchi USA Road Trip will be at Polaris Fashion Place on August 29 and 30. Admission and activities are free, and advance registration is not required.
