Over the last few weeks, Polaris Fashion Place Mall has seen a flurry of store openings. Two recent additions to the mix at Polaris are a Jamican and West African restaurant and also a new shoe store.

The Afro-Caribbean restaurant IrieJam Island Grill opened three weeks ago in the rotating KTCHN space inside the food hall at Polaris. The restaurant joins Sammy’s Halal in the vicinity of Dick’s Sporting Goods.

According to its website, IrieJam Island grill is a family-owned and operated catering business dedicated to delivering exceptional services to our customers and their guests. The restaurant serves Jamaican and West African cuisine, including jerk chicken, oxtail, jerk brisket, plantain, and curry chicken.

Executive chef and co-founder Kesia Boamah was born and raised in Jamaica, and has owned and operated restaurants in Jamaica and the U.S.

Minnesota-based footwear retailer Tradehome Shoes opened on April 29 on the mall’s upper level next to Williams Sonoma.

Tradehome offers endless growth opportunities for individuals to work their way up through management, district management, regional supervision, buying positions, and possibly even ownership. The retailer has 100 stores in 22 states and is 100% employee-owned. The store sells brands such as Birkenstock, HOKA, Chaco, Brooks and others.
