Powell is set to host a festive extravaganza that promises to fill the Village Green Park with holiday cheer. ‘Holidays in Powell’ is the event of the season, scheduled for Saturday, December 2, and here’s what you can expect at this joyous celebration.

Santa and Snapshots

From 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, families can capture the magic of the holidays with a photo session with Santa Claus. Remember, pre-registration is required to secure your spot for this treasured holiday keepsake.

Market Merriments

Between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM, the Holiday Market on the Village Green will be the perfect opportunity to find unique gifts, savor local food, and enjoy the work of artisans. The market promises a blend of tradition and modern holiday spirit.

Park Promenade and Enchanted Rides

From 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, visitors can enjoy strolling entertainment throughout the park. It’s an immersive experience as the sounds and sights of the season come alive around you.

Starting at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, take a break from the hustle and bustle with horse-drawn carriage rides around the oval. It’s an enchanting way to view the park’s festive decorations and lights.

Tree Lighting Ceremony and Bonfire

The centerpiece of ‘Holidays in Powell’ begins at 6:00 PM with the tree lighting ceremony. Expect performances from the Powell Community Band, a special appearance by Santa with the Mayor, and the much-anticipated lighting of the tree. The ceremony culminates in a community sing-a-long, followed by the lighting of the park, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.

As dusk sets in, a community bonfire will light up the evening. It’s a time for making new friends, sharing stories, and enjoying the warmth of community spirit.

‘Holidays in Powell’ is poised to be a day filled with laughter, joy, and community.
