Does your child aspire to be a chef, video game creator, soccer star, or ballet dancer? Check out an array of classes this upcoming winter and spring to help build their skills in the newly-released City of Powell Parks & Recreation Guide. Check out several classes for adults as well.

Registration

Express, in-person registration for City residents only is from 9 AM – 7 PM on Wednesday, January 8 in the Municipal Building, located at 47 Hall Street. Online registration for City residents only begins at 8 AM on Thursday, January 10 and in-person/online registration for non-residents starts at 8 AM on Friday, January 10. Guides will be delivered to households on Sunday, January 5.

New classes this year include the following:

  • Once Upon a Story Time (ages 2-10)
  • Mother’s Day Make & Take (ages 2-12)
  • First Friday of Summer Tie Dye! (ages 7-14)
  • Miss Gina + Science = Fun Experiments! (ages 6-10)
  • Miss Gina’s Birthday Bash (all ages)
  • Super Tots Sports Academy (ages 3-5)
  • Tween Ballroom Dance Classes (ages 13-18)
  • Fred Astaire Dance Studio Powell Classes (ages 21+)
  • Family Wetland Day at the new Seldom Seen Park (all ages)
  • Wild Wonderful Wetlands (all ages)
  • Third Thursdays with Madame WingNut (all ages)
  • DIY: Acrylic Pouring and Chunky Knit Blanket (ages 10+)
